10/10 recommend. What drew me to this show was seeing one of my favorite cast members on SNL, Aidy Bryant. Shrill is very much representative of the times and responds to ideals in society,one example is weight expectations. My favorite episode was the Pool Party (E4 I believe) where its a "Big Girls Only" and all these beautiful, colorful, large and confident women having fun. A first for my television experience as a 22 year old. It was v important that Annie was enjoying it but in an observant way as if she was the audience watching the show. It helped me realize the importance of that part of the episode.
