*DO NOT BUY THIS GAME* If you want to keep your sanity and love for football please avoid this game at all costs. Where to begin... defending, attacking, passing, servers etc... This game has butchered it all. As a lifelong fan of FIFA having purchased since 2001, I have to say this is the worst FIFA I have ever played...or at a stretch the worst game I have ever played. gameplay mechanics Pace and speed of players is priority. Defending is useless and static. Passing is non-existent and FUT epitomizes the worst in this game. Defenders will nonchalantly gawk as a player sprints past and through on goal. Think again, if you think your goalkeeper will get you out of this situation. 1 on 1 attacks WILL result in a goal. Your keeper won't even attempt to save the ball or if he does, they will slip and slide across the pitch and dive towards the ground, whilst (insert 90+ pace player) rounds the keeper for a tap in. Referees are shocking...for the love of God please do not press B or Circle in the box to complete a standing tackle as it is 90% of the time going to end in a penalty. In fact, avoid any button input in the box as apparently the referees have the patience of a ticking time bomb... You will regret trying to defend properly on this game. Games frequently finish in double digits for goals scored. 6-6, 8-4, 9-7 you name the score, someone will have beat you by this amount. The game feels incredibly like an arcade game at this point in this regard. Please do not feed EA more money by buying packs... Literally the probability is against you and EA admit this by displaying the probability of player ratings in their packs. Often the best players will have a <1% chance of being drawn and you will almost certainly be left with 75 rated players in Gold Packs. The only saving grace for this FIFA is that there has been some attention to career mode. Although, this is completely negated by the complete disaster which is the gameplay engine. Please read the other reviews and most other players will agree that this fifa is mechanically broken. Don't waste your money this year. I wish I didn't.
