From the first few moments, I knew how important this woman and this documentary were. Kept thinking that I wish I could have worked with her in some capacity. She managed to get the “boys club” to listen and learn. Kudos

Wow, just Wow! It’s also filmed in my fav city, New Orleans! Was very familiar with the scene settings and thought the director showed NO the way it should be appreciated and loved. Plus the movie was chill, full of twists n turns and oh so laid back like NO residents are naturally. The whole cast equally shared the lead role. Cast=lead role

Magical, deep, funny, beautiful

I’m about half way through series. I’m a senior citizen and proof that you don’t have to be a teenager to love this series! My ancestors came to this area in the Carolinas when America was “being born”. I’ve visited this area and love the scenery and attention to local history in the show. I knew about the Gullah community, the people and language. They were fascinating to me. These young actors are excellent! New talent, great scenery, with a good mystery thrown in the plot make for a memorable experience for this southerner. I can’t wait for the new season! It’s like going on summer vacation and reliving my youth!
