We need more sympathy for the struggling alcoholic father. This character is as real in life as they are in their struggle. Why did Alex have to intervene when her father was helping Sean? I guess it’s just part of the the script. Our daughters may struggle in life, but our sons are human beings with real problems too. This Sean character has to be given credit for trying to be a better person, but Alex took that away from him. I really hate this part of the story.
