Terrible writing, full of overused metaphors that appeared over and over again. For example, the main character’s “blue, blue eyes” were mentioned at least 14 times by my count. This book couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a cheesy Hallmark movie or a mystery. The characters were all pretty flat, and the “twist” was not surprising either. Don’t waste your time.
