I really want to like this series because I love watching ancient life being animated, but the script really needs work, even ignoring any factual embellishments. The first episode was like a Cliff Notes version of natural history but with the main points either summarized to the point of oversimplification or just missing key details. The “dynasty” metaphor also got tiring very quickly. And please, can we stop with prehistoric animals roaring for the sake of giving them something to do? I’m a regular viewer of PBS Eons and SciShow and they do a much better job of storytelling in their natural history videos.
