Ewan McGregor does an amazing job of playing Kenobi, just as he did in the movies. The effects are movie quality as are the stunts.
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
My biggest issue with these two episodes was lazy writing. For all the hype, it fell flat for me. Here’s a few:
After years of hiding and working hard to avoid being noticed as a Jedi, OWK, not only dons his traditional rough-hewn cloak and robe, but he carelessly let’s his lightsaber hang out as he’s getting his wallet in a public place.
He then proceeds to try to rescue Leia and the empire puts out a notice across the planet with his face plastered everywhere. He walks through the town, often with his hood down and the only place he gets recognized is in an alley. Does he attempt to change his appearance in any way? Well, he does change clothes. But he’s still running around completely undisguised.
The empire locks down the city — except for one way off, “They won’t think of it. Just lazy writing.
