I have the 1977 version on a bootleg CD and the 2016 remix. In all honesty the original 1977 LP does get across the atmosphere of those live performances. However, I do agree with the late, great Roy Carr and Tony Tyler that The Beatles sound almost contemporary.

Like the series. Better than Midsomer Murders where the bodies just keep piling up which you cant take seriously. Like Morse and Montalbano, Mike Sheppard seems to put the job ahead of his own well being.
