I like the extra layers added to this horror/alien invasion movie that help it to stand out. It focuses on mainly one family so your desire to see them survive is intensified. There are gripping scenes where the the mom is in labor while a monster is hunting her in her home. After the baby is born, you're on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen when it cries. Whenever an alien is hunting a member of this family, you want to look away but you can't. This movie is that good.
