The Book of Clarence is a beyond superb movie. After seeing it at the theater (which a lot of theaters refused to show) I ordered it on Amazon so that I could watch it over and over. The more I watch it, the more I notice. It’s a very coded film, just like the Bible.
Now, a lot of folks don’t like it because the cast is “Black”, Christ is Black and the narrative is told from various angles. The latter, meaning, that you’ll even hear what the Atheist, Agnostic and Gnostics think. Which is fair because they all exist. The movie isn’t a church sermon told by some overweight preacher who drives a Benz to church and leaves in a Ferrari.
So, imho, one will need to watch it over and over with an open mind before even giving an opinion. But it was a very touching movie that obviously linked the lives of the Biblical characters of then to the lives of “Black” people today. Amen.
