I was older when I first saw Brigadoon on film. I instantly fell in love with it. It is in my Top 10, even Top 5 movies. I'd love to see a London or Broadway stage production. The setting on film is like on stage, but bigger. For anyone expecting to see a setting as you'd find in current outdoor movies, then, you should still love the movie, but understand how movie settings were staged on back lots during the heyday of Hollywood. The dancing is magical, the music is well written, and the storyline is as good as you can get for a romantic movie of love found, love lost and love found again forever. I love the fantasy aspect that love is magical and one must believe with one's heart.
