I think it’s easy to read the tabloids and form an opinion of someone . It’s nice to watch movies like this because if the movie is truthful you can learn a lot more about what shaped that persons life. She wasn’t just an alcoholic and an addict. She was someone’s daughter and someone’s granddaughter and a great singer/ songwriter. What made her love jazz was the connection to her family. I learned a lot about her when I watched the movie and then researched more about her life after the movie. I thought the movie was well done.
