I preordered this book months back, but it was well worth the wait. I devoured it within days of its arrival. The individual stories are all compelling enough on their own, but it's the underlying metaplot that really kept me hanging on by my fingernails. It plants just enough seeds of intrigue to keep you asking questions right until the end. Individual stories never felt reused or dry. I normally have difficulty keeping characters straight in my head but every single one felt so fleshed out and fully formed, and their experiences all felt utterly unique despite taking place in the same central location.
Definitely delivered and more than exceeded my expectations! Excuse me while I proceed to force copies of this book on all my friends and family.
