Great cast ensemble but fails to deliver. Pankaj Tripathi is the only reason I would suggest watching this movie once.

Having grown up reading “Archie’s” the movie led to a lot of expectations specially with Zoya Akhtar at the helm. However , in spite of a good adaptation in terms of the setting , the choice of actors led to it being a complete disappointment!! Suhana Khan CANNOT act and seriously shouldn’t think of continuing! Agastya Nanda is a wee bit better but not at all impressive. Khushi Kapoor was far more believable and impressionable as Betty… she may still have a chance at being an actress ! In a nutshell, the concept was worthy but the choice of actors ruined it - it took me three attempts to finish the movie .. !!

Absolutely useless !! The movie is full of unbelievable stunts, useless dialogues , old and unattractive looking hero / heroines. Just the two songs are worth watching .. and if you insist on going .. leave your brain and powers of reasoning at home !

The marketing of “Jawaan” should be instituted as a case study on the power of media and social media ! Initially a barrage of negative reviews came out as soon as the movie was released and shortly after there was an overwhelming splurge of positive media reviews and endorsements by Bollywood stars praising the movie. Claims were made that the initial negative reviews were just propaganda against SRK! In my opinion the latter is a marvelous cover up for one of THE worst movies I have watched in recent times !! I am appalled at SRK’s choice but then as usual .. the superstars are laughing on their way to the bank and media has manipulated .
