I was born in Alpine where this film is portrayed. My granfather had a ranch close by. Small by west Texas standards. This movie portrays the people perfectly. Hard working people trying to eak out a living. And as the Sherrif said a tide is rolling in and taking them over. Its like a Sunami that destroys everything including any principles and standards of morality that's in the way. The sunami is here and we won't be able to stop it. All the good and decent things and people will be destroyed. I highly recommend this movie.

Over my 77 years I have seen many movies and shows about the life if Jesus. But never have I seen one that brings Jesus and all the biblical characters to life like the Chosen does. You get to know them personally as real people with real emotions and problems of their own. This truly brings Christ to life.
