3.8 review doesn't do this movie justice.
I see it as a low budget production, and most of that was spent on the stars. The plot could have come from a Christmas cracker, but the script could have only come from a genius, and the screenplay surpasses many 'blockbuster' efforts.
It's one of several personal favourites of mine, it includes a fair mix of B movie extras and plot lines with a solid cast of exceptional performances and star performances, The combination gives a general mix of acceptable humour from the former, and a genuine buy in to the latter.
This movie crosses several genres including Dogma, black humour and horror amongst several others. I'd be hard pressed to suggest any taste that couldn't find something to like in this movie (unless you are devoutly religious and find a return of the birth of the Saviour offensive) and advise that it needs to be seen without reservation so that you can make your own informed judgement
