Review: “The Electric State”—A Cinematic Masterpiece, but at What Cost?
I’ll be honest, The Electric State was phenomenal. The visuals? Stunning. The story? Immersive. Chris Pratt? Chris Pratting at maximum capacity. But let’s cut to the real issue here.
There was a robot. A taco-shaped robot. A robot that played the piano. He was, in every sense of the word, just a chill guy. He wasn’t hurting anyone. He wasn’t leading a robot uprising. He wasn’t even mildly annoying like those “funny sidekick” characters that won’t shut up. No. This dude was vibing, playing his little robot heart out, probably dreaming of a peaceful life filled with jazz and maybe some light salsa dancing.
And what did this movie do? It demolished him. Absolutely brutalized him. No warning. No reason. Just straight-up mechanical manslaughter. I swear, I have never emotionally recovered from a movie death this fast only to immediately spiral back into despair.
So yes, 10/10 movie. Would recommend. But I also demand justice for Piano Taco Bot. He deserved better.
