A lot of places mentioned in the book are not that intriguing. Quite a few haunted places and a few areas where monsters or sightings were made. But these aren't necessarily sites that visitors would experience anything of note. The US tick collection, South of the Border, Paul Bunyon statue, London Bridge, ok these are fine. Unfortunately, not a lot of interesting places (for me) the book mentions.
