This book series is one of the very few that has stuck with me into my adult years. Tackling the difficult idea of the macabre and the idea of death for young adults; yet making into a fun action-adventure and providing a near Tim Burton like effect that removes the fear of death itself. Creating a highly relatable and three-dimensional main character who is one of the best young female role models for young girls.
