Read the book long back but one sentence that haunts me till today is, the parting with patient Dhavali. It reads : "She knew deep down, as we did too, that we would probably never meet again." These touching connection and separations. It's like our parents who do their job unconditionally and then part, never to meet again. Doctors and Teachers often fullfill the vaccums that we felt unfulfilled by our parents. Dr. Anand Gokani is one such Doctor and Teacher as well. The Doctor in him is sensitive to the emotions of the patient, and the author in him has the ability to stir up similar emotions in the reader.
