Sean Miller

As someone whose seen the musical many times and a long-time fan I was super impressed with this adaptation. The story is much more fleshed out and easy to follow. The changes made from the musical were well done (I still like the original mongojerry/rumpleteazer song but this one was good), and the additional macavity plot added a bit more depth. There are still many elements of the original musical in this film, including much of the dancing and stylized cats. I admit I was worried from the initial reviews but after seeing the film I feel like they stem much from not understanding/seeing the original work. I say it’s a job well done!
