I originally was not going to watch this series because of the title. Peaky Blinders seemed a tad too silly for me; a little ridiculous, I know. Once I started watching it I couldn’t get enough. The acting and writing was brilliant. My only wish is that we saw more of Alfie Solomons. Tom Hardy always kills it, but this was an extra special delivery. A machiavellian character with a comedic undertone. Absolutely wonderful performance even though I needed subtitles to understand what the hell he was saying half the time. The actor who played Thomas Shelby also did a phenomenal job. I don’t think I’ve seen him in any other movie that I can recall. It can’t be easy playing a narcissistic sociopath unless you’re either a narcissistic sociopath yourself, or a brilliant actor. Hopefully for him it’s the latter.
