"Based on actual events". Hotel Coolgardie was an unflattering portrait of drunk people put in front of a camera, but it wasn't Wolf Creek. They decided to make a dark and scary tale of misogyny in "mining towns", but watched Wake In Fright, Last Of The Knucklemen and Sunday Too Far Away as research, as opposed to, say, going to a mining town. Don't waste your time. I have rarely seen a more contrived and worthless plot. Hugo must have needed a paycheck.
