As someone who has experienced stalking, this movie really hit home. I can see how some people couldn’t connect with the storyline, but it truly was so realistic. You may want to root against the main character because she really exhibits what not to do in a situation like this, however it’s likely that some people would handle it the way she did. There was no fluff. The minimalistic approach along with the low budget vibe really worked. This would get 5 stars from me if it wasn’t so easy for the antagonist to catch up with her without any way to track her. That part is very unrealistic. This story is much more than that, though. She starts out broken down from life and just wanting to run away from her problems. She was scared and made mistakes at every turn. As the movie progresses with her back against the wall, she faces her fears and really shows her will to live. Way better than I expected.
