I was a former hard-core atheist, who did a 180 and became a follower and believer of Jesus. As a former atheist, I have always been very cautious with religious activities , "Churchianity " and religious media . For the most part, the quality was mediocre. I have for many years served (and still serve )in missionary work and in ministry. I am also a professional musician and actress. For years, I resisted watching the Chosen. I came across it last April on the Roku channel and decided to watch it. Although episode one was the only one featured on Roku and is my least favorite episode, I decided to watch the rest of the season through the Chosen website. The quality is 5 star . The message is very compelling. I have recommended the Chosen to many who are not believers and followers of Jesus : A- listers, rock stars , atheists , a Buddhist monk and many more. And many of those are drawn to the life of Jesus through this show. God has been using this to make me dig into the Gospels and use this a tool to reach others for Jesus.
