Want to know why Coriolanus Snow is a complex, narcissistic sociopath who you somehow feel compassion towards?
Read this book.
Overall, I think this is an engaging story with a very barbaric theme. Twisted in the tapestry of vibrant beauty and art through song, poetry and pure characters, this book has a unique mixture of sweet and sour. However, several moments feel slow and drawn out. The ending felt a little rushed and unsatisfying, but I think that was intentional, and I think that's the point. By the end, I pity Coriolanus, and I hate him, yet I want to see how far he can climb.
Definitely worth reading.
