Do not be influenced by the Sith tactics manifesting in the form of insecure men whose passionate and strong opinions of this show come from a place of fear and anger (see the sith creed for reference). While this show stars and was written/created by women (particularly women of color), there is no political or social agenda present within the story-telling itself. Representation is not inherently political and if you find it hard to believe that human diversity similar to that present on our singular planet exists in a literal galaxy, then perhaps one should seek other genres of entertainment. It demonstrates a faithfulness to canon novels and comics, bringing characters and costume designs from an era that has never been portrayed on screen. So far, it has presented a well-paced story that balances action with character development. While it isn’t a perfect show, it ultimately succeeds at achieving the core elements of a Star War story. However, unlike those in-siths who bombed the show before the first episodes were released, a final opinion will be reserved for after the entire show has been seen.
