Skips over many crucial events. jumping from one thing to the other without much context. The "romance" with Josephine takes over but leaves nothing to the viewers. Dialogues disappointing. Historical representation disappointing. Acting disappointing.

Love it! I keep rewatching it from time to time, when I get nostalgic. It would be great if they continued the series starting from the last 4 words of the year in the life ;)

Very slow. Not as dramatic as it is trying to be. Quite boring instead. Kristen is not my favourite choice either. the crying scene in her old house it's hard to watch, not because of the emotional state but the lack of any emotions at all. I realise this should be showing the struggle of the princess, but I think it is failing at communicating the reasons or at putting the observer really in touch with the character. It just looks like a little brat crying and being deliberately impossible, instead of the tormented soul proven by year of tough rules and the cold environment we are assumed to know all about. Overall a waste of money. and time. Very disappointed, I was looking forward to it.
