I've been playing adventure games for over thirty years, and reading gaming magazines for about that long, but it's easy to lose track of them, or miss out on hearing about some. This book is a nice refresher course, with a bit of nostalgia, while also telling you about games you might have passed up or never heard of. Some games are given more detail than others, but even the most obscure titles are often given their due in one of the most comprehensive books of its type I've ever seen. The only real caveat is that it was published in 2011, so anything that came out in the nine years since is obviously not included, though the sorts of games the book focuses on already had their heyday long before 2011. If you can find a copy and are an adventure game enthusiast, I highly recommend it.
