I was really looking forward to this after poor things, but of course it did not measure up. It's okay to have a lot of supernatural stuff, and I'm a kind of guy who really likes it. But without any kind of framework for the supernatural, without any real genesis for it or any kind of reason for its existence, it just doesn't work. It's the kind of device that I feel like if I were to watch the film again I still wouldn't get it.
These are three short films with one recurring character, and that is about all they have in common. Jesse Plemmons acts really well, and the rest of the cast is fine. Willem Dafoe is okay, he doesn't seem to have a real reason for an existence, put all these people and the director are all friends and so they're going to all work together and that's how these things go. Don't bother to go see it unless you have a weird voyeur thing about sex because there's plenty of it in there and it doesn't seem to have a reason for existence.
