History always has 2 or 3 sides. One of them is truth. In our case , history was purposely constructed in a particular way by the left comrades to whitewash it and present in a specific manner. Gandhi & Nehru dynasty were portrayed as the prime important freedom fighters and everyone else was inconsequential. Due to this the other freedom fighters were reduced to a paragraph or subtitles in the history books. People don't learn anything more than a passing reference to Veer Savarkar, Sachindranath Sanyal, Netaji Subhash and Lokmanya Tilak is reduced to his Swarajya slogan and Ganpati festival and even Chatrapati Shivaji and his inspiring tales of valour get 1 paragraph in NCERT History books.
