Great show of the late 1970s. Based on Irwin Shaw's novel - although the facts deviated from Shaw's (for tv purposes and simplicity, I suppose). Great acting from newcomers at the time. Amazing how it moved from post-WWII to the late 1960s. Feud between the brothers reminiscent of Kane & Abel. Great show and the ending was not expected. Brilliant.
