I think the movie was actually very captivating to me there’s a deeper meaning from the moment they talk about the great grandfather being the first man on a moving screen riding a horse, you can see that the meaning is much deeper than aliens .
What I took away from it was that, surveillance, cameras and fame is a monster and it’s consuming people. When the guy shows up on the bike, and she says “sh** guys it’s TMZ” and he was so obsessed with getting a shot that he didn’t even value his life. This new age of technology is literally got people so captivated and we are obsessed with getting the perfect shot, but it changes people.
And the more you look at it and look for fame the more it consumes you. I don’t know that may be the most basic interpretation but it seemed that way to me.
