Once you step outside of the exact historical facts of this extraordinary true story, taking in some dramatic license what unfolds is a beautifully told story from the perspective of the wondrously heroic Miep. My heart aches. The actors, the entire ensemble—especially Miep, Jan and Otto—did an exemplary job. I knew them all and I believe they would be deeply moved. The writing, directing, cinematography, and musical pieces were in great taste. Brilliant. Thank you to the producers of this most important “light” so imperative today more than ever.
