My 7 year old daughter and I are both huge Ariel fans. We LOVE the original Little Mermaid films and have watched them countless times. We waited for this movie to come out on Disney Plus because we were both hesitant about watching it. I am so glad we didn't waste our money seeing this in theatres. 40 minutes and I'm done, over it. My daughter was not engaged whatsoever in this film and she called out several parts she didn't like. I hate the idea of Disney turning their classics into live action - remakes. Just make new movies/come up with other ideas.. idk. We like the original Disney classics and so many remade films have been terrible, including this one. Huge disappointment. My daughter stopped watching it about an hour in. The movie drags, the changes to the characters, Prince Eric's mother?? Makes no sense, the music, the acting, the list goes on and it was a big letdown for us. I'm slowly starting to dislike Disney in general. One good thing I have to say about this film is that the graphics/animations are beautiful.

Powerful and heartwarming movie! I love it. I'm not into sports or football and I've watched this so many times since it came out... I still laugh and get emotional watching it. Great movie to watch!

I seen Gabriel Union was in this and thought it would be a good movie. The beginning scenes were enough for me to stop watching it. I ended up stopping it halfway through.

Loved this movie! It came up on my news feed and didnt expect it to be so good. I've watched it twice now and cried both times. I have to agree the acting wasn't the best and certaint things aren't realistic but Lucy did an amazing job and overall it has a beautiful message of God's love! With Jesus Christ our savior, all things are possible and that came across throughout the movie. I would recommend.
