Absolutely loved this film. Yes it's predictable but the way the story is written helps. It's predictable in the way you want it to be. It was lovely watching the story unfold. Kelsey Grammer is such a great actor. The film is very easy to watch and very easy going. Really gets you in the feels. I rarely write reviews but felt I needed to do this film justice incase anyone's reading this. If you are and are easily pleased with movies then watch Like Father. You won't be disappointed if this is your thing.

We can't simply re write the past. Instead let's make what time we have left a time to look back on with fond memories. We don't know how long we have left. Just cherish those close to you. And try to help others have a good day. Simply a beautiful film. A story well told that really puts life into perspective. Cease each day to it's fullest. Now go and enjoy this movie.

Whilst only small parts were good I felt overall disappointed. Its been said and I agree that the characters were different. A lot of the original dialog was missing as so we're a couple of characters such as pipkin. I found myself comparing this to the original and had to keep trying to enjoy it for it's own movie. I didn't get the same feeling as I did when I watched the original. 2 out of 5 stars from me. If I want to watch this again it will definitely be the original.
