If you thought Saving Private Ryan was brutally accurate in its' depiction of the horrors of war, it's got nothing on this.
The book had a real impact on me. Even more so this film. Incredible cinematography. You can't help but invest in the main characters.
It beggars belief what a whole generation endured.
