I absolutely love the beginning and the end of this movie, as well as its stylistic visual design. Sadly, its absolute HYPE energy works against itself and you're left feeling exhausted and confused and not in the fun way similar works have done in the past. The action can be very hard to follow most of the time as well. The middle drags on for way too long and there's a moment that feels like the climax, but then you discover there's at least 30 minutes left. There's also a HUGE exposition dump that you're just supposed to accept just after the half way mark that comes out of left field and is required for this film to wrap up the way it does. I love over the top anime action as much as the next guy, but this one didn't quite stick the landing despite how good it looked and how well it sucks you in during the opening.
