I have loved the Artemis Fowl books since I was a child. Why bother creating a movie adaptation if you aren't going to use the majority of the source material that made the original so unique and delightful. I feel like saying that the changes made are to satisfy children is gross slander to the intelligence of children everywhere and straight up spits into the face of anyone who held the original series in high regard when they themselves were a child. Even as a stand alone movie without it having to measure up to the original material it's bad. How they fail to create a compelling story when they literally have a widely loved and best selling one to use as a guide would be laughable if it wasn't so disappointing.
