Confused by the entire premise. While the acting for the most part was ok, I just didn’t understand why anyone would want to spend the time watching the slow grueling abuse that the brother displayed on essentially everyone in the movie. Cumberbatch’s character was not believable. He was a real jerk, I get it but why did others follow him? It was too slow and did not have sufficient depth to make me want to finish the movie. Not sure where it got lost, editing or the overall theme. While the brother and the woman seemed to reflect the relationships of the time, basically convenience, I really did not get an English actor playing the role of a Midwest cowboy.
