In the book Breathers, my favorite plot device used in the novel was a love triangle. In the third chapter Something bad happens to Andys wife and throughout the book Andy can not let that go and accept the fact that she is gone. Later in the book Andy meets a girl named Rita and he starts to have feelings for her, but he can not get over the love that he still has for his wife. “My wife is dead and buried beneath six feet of dirt while Rita is right here, undead and not breathing. One of me.” (pg. 79). This helped me feel like I was Andys friend and that I know more about him then others around him. This novel was a good read in that I understood what the author was saying and wanted us to feel there where not many difficult words, I personally did not really like the story just because it is a zombie book and now a days there are so many zombie books, movies, and shows. But if that’s what you like then I think that it would be a good read.
