I liked the connections musically with Scrooge the musical (thank you Leslie Bricusse) and the new songs. I loved the refreshing new look at the deeper/darker message and the links with the past that I've not seen before (haven't checked the details with the original texts or anything) which I think gave more meaning to some of the 'stories' . Having seen a few different versions, each with its own 'angle' I enjoyed this one thoroughly
