Although I understand that the movie industry must be creative in all sorts of ways, this movie, however, does not properly portray the beloved written character of Artemis Fowl. Artemis is a cold-hearted kid genius that disliked all sorts of physical activities. I would have loved to see how the screen can show Artemis' kidnapping of Captain Holly Short confirming his suspicions of the existence of the People. On another important note, Butler's name was easily revealed which removes the sanctity of the bodyguard-principal relationship as taught by Butler's teacher and trainer. Besides, Butler loved to be called the Butler. He'd snap you if you ever knew his first name. Artemis Sr. was also known as a criminal (famous in the underground). A criminal who tried hard to "legalize" his business which in turn led him to be lost at sea. Artemis Jr.'s mother also was still alive but has lost her mind. Artemis also was aware of their family's. Sadly, I can't give any more comments further than this because I can't finish watching it.
