This film fet like Taika Waititi saw the success of Ragnarok, tried to replicate it in Love and Thunder, and failed *MISERABLY*.
The writers of Marvel have made Thor into a deplorable, pathetic character. He's clearly not taken seriously by *anyone* and I believe that this is a waste of a good character. Actually, none of the characters in this film are taken seriously. They could've made him a dark character, mourning over his dead family, but I feel as though they should've done that in Endgame. They've made his grief into a joke. He is the comic relief in his own film.
The jokes were overused and just not that great in general. For example, the screaming goats. They were funny the first time, but they got VERY old VERY quickly.
There was not a serious moment in the film. Every moment that could've been a good, dramatic, scene was ruined by a mediocre joke. Chris Hemsworth was just working with what he was given, as were a number of other cast members.
In my opinion, the only good part of this film was Christian Bale's performance. He has the most serious character with the most depth. I guess this film has an *okay* plot, but it was *not* executed well.
This film was a bad use of these actors' talent. The script feels like a fever-dream, or when someone's assignment is due at 11:59pm and they're starting it at 10 pm.
