I love mystery like this and Nordic Noir has fast becoming my go to tv shows. this series does not disappoint. among many nordic noir i have binged on, this one easily climb to the top of the list.

I read the book first years before I watched the movie. Read the book because it was famous and bestseller etc but honestly it didn't meet my expectations. It was not really a mystery novel..it was a book about lost love, alcoholism and mental health..to add kick into it, the author add the murder. When I watched the movie, I am so glad that Emily Blunt was cast as Rachel as she played the role perfectly. The book was boring, the movie too..in the earlier part. But the brilliant cast made the whole story 'believable' . When I read the book, it feels so much made up and fiction.

Too draggy. I actually skipped few episodes cuz I just can't go thru all those lengthy episodes. Seems like the solution to problem is suicide. Even though there were 16 episodes, I felt that the incident between Nam Joong do and Yeo Jin was not explored enough. I mean..what situation that led to the rape.
