Funny show that carries on the tradition of the original Open All Hours series of a cheapskate running a corner grocery store and his schemes to improve his profits, along with some awkward romances.

In the episode shown on Thurs. 4/12, Clementine's father brings in a 1980's huge camcorder, plugs it in to a modern flat-screen TV, and shows an old VHS tape! How young are the writers? A 1980's camcorder outputs analog signals that won't work on a modern TV, even if you find a cord with the right connectors on each end!

Very poorly done. It's made to look like inter-family squabbles seen in soap operas and NOT the centuries of unity, pretend or otherwise, that are displayed to the public by the royal family. Prince Charles has an easygoing way with him when he addresses the public that is completely lacking in King Charles. Having Charles rage, "I will not abdicate...I will be the greatest king...I will be the king as ruler..." doesn't make the character seem at all like the real Charles. We enjoy fiction due to our minds engaging in a "suspension of disbelief." But the events in this production are so hard to believe possible that such a suspension can't quite kick-in.
