As the eldest son of battling alcoholics in the 60’s, the Springsteen movie hits very close to home. The few seconds where he is looking out his bedroom window and sees his Dad coming up the steps with a brown paper bag of booze…the next several hours was always like waiting for a bomb to go off. It just kept ticking and you never knew if that was the night it would blow. Spent decades trying to erase those memories. And finally got there. Was expecting a concert movie but I probably will benefit from seeing this alot more.

Pretty hilarious reading all the one star reviews from threatened Trumpers because Keaton plays a workaholic whose wife leaves him and who nearly loses his family by never being present. As a workaholic who has known hundreds of workaholics who did the same, I say “Bravo!” for telling this story, but apparently this hit way too close to home for some reviewers.

We thoroughly enjoyed the film. Saw it with our children and grandsons and they all gave it two thumbs up

Wow! Renee Z transformed herself into Judy Garland. Oscar nomination for Best Actress for sure!
