The Monsterverse back in its prime. This brings back the Monsterverse the way it was as Gareth Edwards intended. It brings back the realism of the Monsterverse like Godzilla (2014) This show has a solid story of these step-siblings searching for their father, but things of course, go wrong when the biggest threat attempts to take action. The show has 2 timelines. One timeline is set in the 50's and the other one set in 2015. The 50's storyline shows a group of people who work for Monarch trying to find Titans and discover and learn about them to provide proof of their existence. The 2015 story is the hunt for the father. I don’t want to get into much detail to avoid spoilers. It heavily focuses on the lore and origins of the Randa family. William Randa from Kong: Skull Island returns in this series younger before 1973 in the 50's timeline. The step-siblings are the grandchildren of Randa. The show is not about Godzilla and the monsters. It is a human story with monsters happening to be in it. This is the best written human characters and storyline in this franchise thus far. Emotional human moments make this franchise so much better and is secretly the key to success of making a Kaiju movie or show. I loved all the Monsterverse movies and this show. I hope a season 2 will be confirmed and I have big hopes for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which is releasing on March 29, 2024. The future is bright.
