I can count on one hand the amount of reviews of done. This movie is hot garbage. Spoilers ahead The first 45 minutes as others have said are better. But even that has you wondering if it’s possible for a movie to make competent characters in zombie movies. Why would a father bring a 12 year old out into a zombie hellscape? Why would they walk through an open field? Why would they stop to take their boots off knowing full well they’re being likely pursued? After that it turns outright absurd while maintaining the terrible decision making of the first act. The whole time you can tell they try to “unnerve” you with wonky filming and editing. It made me nauseous at points and I’m not someone who ever feels that way. And not in a scary way, just a terrible design choice. My friends and I were saying wtf pretty early on in this. And this isn’t even touching the absolute dumbest scene imaginable where a zombie gives birth who’s holding hands.
