The writing is just painfully bad. I guess they were going for campy? Ironic? I mean, naming enemies “Spacers”, misshapen monsters “Terromorphs” and that god-awful robot companion and his asinine saying: “You. Are. Trying. To. Kill. Me. But. Technically. I. Can’t. Die.” Yeah, it wasn’t funny the first time he said it, much less the fifth. Compared to Witcher 3, or Baldur’s Gate 3, the dialogue sounds like a C+ creative writing assignment by a high school freshman. It’s just embarrassing.
